My Rights Come From God! (for Light Shirt Colors)

This was the slogan of the American Revolution. Remember, there had never been a country or any group of people who were not ruled by a King, Emperor or monarch of some sort. The people of the colonies were divided into two major groups. One were the Royalists, who believed we had to have a ruler of some sort, it is just the way civilized men live together. England, after all, had elected bodies of men who made and administered many laws and rules of government. Yet these could be vetoed by the King. So Royalists believed we could elect our leaders and negotiate with the King as well. This group was by far the majority. Then there were those who yearned for Freedom from the chains of Kings and governments who controlled their actions, treating their subjects as they saw fit to keep them subservient. These men believed each individual was created by God and instilled with certain God given rights that no man or government should be able to take away. They believed that with God's help and guidance they could win their freedom from their English King and devise a government under which men could rule themselves. They could have laws to rule the nation, not a ruler of the laws. It took quite awhile to find and decide on a back for this simple yet profound statement which led to this country's very existence. The story I found for the back is true. This confirmation through action is far more powerful than any argument of ideas. Those of you familiar with American History will realize this occurred immediately before a "Shot Heard Round the World" on a green in Lexington. This shot changed the world forever. These men, through the grace of Divine Providence as George Washington so often wrote, did win their freedom and agreed on a Constitution still profoundly different from every other country. Yes, other countries are now ruled by elected governments of men, but individual rights still emanate from the government. In America, our government exists to secure these individual rights which come from God. Many historians say we would not have a nation it it were not for the Great Awakening which swept the colonies in the early 1700s. People came to know the freedom of God through His grace and determined to live under God's law themselves. This Brush Fire of Freedom was kindled and fed by an eternal source. Yes, NO KING BUT JESUS!

Our Nation was founded as One Nation Under God. Check the Christian Heritage page for my 4 minute video on the "No King But Jesus" T-shirt. When did this become contraversial? When Marxist Socialists began to appear in our public discourse through NGOs given tax exempt status like the Freedom FROM religion group Just a preposition! Freedom OF religion. Language is important. Our Founding Fathers were meticulous in their writings which is why their words need to be preserved and their context protected. This quote from Benjamin Rush tells us why God IS Important. "The only foundation for a usefuk education in a republic is to be laid in religion, Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty; and liberty is the object and life all republican governments."
The classic painting of George Washington kneeling to pray beside his horse in a snowy woods, is the center of this design. There are still copies of letters from the men who served under Washington in the continental army, sent to wives or mothers at home. One thing they speak of is how, general Washington would go outside the camp, kneel and pray EVERY night. Maybe that's why they followed him, maybe we should as well. Yes, I am a dinosaur, when I was in public school in my elementary years we used to pray the Lord's prayer each morning together. Sometimes there was a moment of silence for private prayer as well. No one was required to pray. If a student wanted to learn the prayer, they could get a copy or receive instruction We seldom if ever heard of school shootings, even though guns were more prevalent in most homes or on gun racks in vehicles. Studies have shown two remarkable and unmistakable trends in public schools dating exactly to 1963 when prayer was removed from public schools. From that time on, scholastic achievement began to fall. This is when compared to the same subjects, as there is also a noted drop in the number of subjects covered. Conversely, violence, drug use, teenage pregnancy, lack of discipline and suicide rates among students all began to surge upward. There is no doubting these two trends, the statistical evidence is far superior to any evidence ever offered for globa warming.

One of the original Liberty flags of what would become the United States of America. It is generally attributed to Colonel Christopher Gadsden of Charleston, SC. He was head of the Sons of Liberty in South Carolina, and was referred to by some as the Sam Adams of the South. He was in Philadelphia in 1775 representing his home state in the Continental Congress. That was the year the Marines were first formed to join the defense of the fledgling colonies on the four ships purchased by Congress to serve as a navy. Gadsden was one of 3 members of the Marine committee. The drums of the Marines that first day in Philadelphia were adorned with a rattlesnake and the words Don't Tread On Me. Ben Franklin, a close friend and fellow patriot of Gadsden, noted that the rattlesnake is found in no other part of the world besides the United States. It has very sharp eyes and therefore also a symbol of vigilance. It never begins an attack nor, once engaged, never surrenders. The first recorded flag with the rattlesnake on a field of yellow and the motto Don't Tread In Me underneath, was presented to the Congress of the state of South Carolina as the flag of the new Continental navy. The snake on the flag had 13 rattles, the same number as number of colonies. Franklin also observed the number of the rattles on the snake could continue to grow. They were so strongly attached together they could not be separated except by completely destroying one rattle. One or two rattles would hardly be heard, but 13 would cause such a racket as to easily advise anyone nearby not to step on it.

This was because of Patrick Henry, a fellow Virginian. When he was serving in the House of Burgesses in 1775, they convened a session in Richmond to avoid the Royal Governor on the coast in the capitol of Williamsburg. Many were advising patience, waiting for a response from the King on the Governor's latest request for reconciliation. Henry rose to speak and His Words would soon echo throughout the Colonies. Right after he spoke the House rose in unison to to direct an emissary be sent to the Continental Congress in Philadelphia to propose Independence for the Colonies. Massachusetts had been proposing Independence for years, but most colonies looked on them as constant complainers. However, when Virginia proposed, it was seriously debated. A committee was formed to write a Declaration and over time it led directly to July 4, 1776. What so moved the House. "Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. Forbid it Almighty God. I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me Liberty or Give me Death.

The soldiers cross crest print is on the front along with All Gave Some/Some Gave All. On the back is real American Heritage. Only two defining forced have ever offered to die for you. Jesus Christ and the American G.I. One died for your soul and the other for your freedom.
My T-shirt History of Ronald Reagan. He brought back the Constitution and the idea of Limited Government our Founders believed in. He was indeed Old School How could I explain Reagan to those younger ones who did not know him. That was simple, Use His Words. There are 4 quotes from Reagan on the front and 2 more on the back.
Created the front of this shirt in 2010 to state that being a Tea Party Patriiot was historically and currently something to be Proud About. In 2012 updated the back of the shirt with a quote from the Father of the American Revolution Samuel Adams, in relation to the political leaders actively trying to harm our nation. This quote runs just as true today in 2022 as they did in 2012 and the 1770s! "If ever a time should come when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Ben Franklin said many wise things and this may be one of his best. "They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve never liberty nor safety." On the back here, I put the 4th Amendment as it seems to be the one people are willing to give up these days. The government seems to have some people convinced they need to be able to read all emails and texts and listen to all phone calls in order to protect us from terrorism. Not only is this not true, but a clear violation of the 4th Amendment.
White, black, red. brown, color does not matter. All Patriots bleed the same red blood. Patriots do not care what color their fellow Patriots are. They are United not Divided. It is the other side that divides. Patriots know that All Men Are Created Equal. WWG1WGA. On the back of this Patriot Declaration, is a simple message from over 2,000 years ago. Jesus went to the Cross because All Lives Matter.
